Stradey Castle Stradey Castle, a mid-Victorian house on the edge of Llanelli, is in the process of being made available for hire for wedding receptions and a wide range of events and conferences. Stradey Castle, owned by Patrick Mansel Lewis, is the home of the Mansel Lewis family. The estate has been in the family for some 200 years. Although little known outside of the Stradey community, this exclusive property is being renovated and in due course will be made available to those who wish to create memorable events – from exquisite wedding receptions to successful seminars and conferences. While the house is not yet ready for wedding receptions and conferences, Heritage Tours of the house and grounds started this spring. However, the house is already available for hire for wedding photographs and as a photographic and film location. In addition to a number of fine formal rooms, the estate includes a terrace garden adjacent to the house and a woodland garden, containing a large collection of acid loving trees and shrubs. Other parts of the estate are suitable for larger outdoor events. It is proposed to site a marquee in the grounds enabling us to accommodate a large number of wedding guests. Although Stradey Castle does not offer overnight accommodation we can recommend a number of local hotels and guest houses. Ample free parking will be available.
